Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters recruits new leadership to drive global growth programme

London, 8th January 2020 – Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters (RELA), specialist in renewable energy claims and risk assessment, has announced the appointment of Alan Tucker as Head of RELA. Alan will drive RELA’s expansion in key renewable energy markets globally. In addition, RELA has hired Martin Dobson, who joins the company as a Senior Loss Adjuster.

From its offices on Gracechurch Street, London, RELA provides loss adjusting services, including pre-risk surveys, engineering valuations, and loss mitigation, to insurers of large-scale renewable energy projects as well as risk advisory services to both insurers and investors. The firm’s services cover all types of renewable energy ranging from solar and on- and offshore wind, to hydro, wave-tidal, bio energy and geothermal projects.

Alan Tucker joins RELA from Abaco International Loss Adjusters (AILA), where he has served as UK Managing Director for the previous four years, with responsibility for 24 offices worldwide. Over more than two decades, he has built a wide range of experience in loss adjusting for conventional power, construction, engineering, and renewable energy projects – both on- and offshore. Over his career, Alan has handled claims across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, providing him with significant experience and a comprehensive knowledge of renewables project claims across the globe.

Martin Dobson also joins RELA from AILA, as a Senior Loss Adjuster. He brings a wealth of real-world technical expertise, having worked in engineering for RWE for eight years, across a range of construction and energy generation projects. As a loss adjuster, Martin has experience in claims for large business interruption or delays across various global jurisdictions including UK, LATAM, North America and Europe.
